Our Story: Digital Marketing Strategy Built by a Small Business Owner

The DNA of Lasso & Lead is rooted in the gritty reality of running a small business right here in New Zealand.

I’ve always been immersed in it. My parents were lifelong entrepreneurs, running retail shops, wholesaling, and even launching an early e-commerce site. That hustle, heart, and hands-on approach stuck with me.

Fast forward, and I built and scaled my own successful business as a fully booked nail tech in Mt Maunganui. It was more than painting nails; I built a strong brand, filled my books, and created a thriving local community. I learned firsthand what it takes to grow something from the ground up in the Bay of Plenty.

“I didn’t dream of being a ‘marketing guru.’ I just saw how bloody hard small business owners work and how much impact great digital strategy can actually make.”

As I grew, I noticed a huge gap: small business owners were exhausted trying to wear all the hats; the books, the stock, the staff, and managing their online brand. It's too much.

That’s why I went and got my Diploma in Digital Marketing, to step in and simplify things.

Why the name Lasso and Lead?

The name says it all. I wanted to be the one who:

  • Lassos in the Leads: Capturing the right customers.

  • Rounds up the Right Strategy: Focusing efforts where they count most.

  • Does the Heavy Lifting: Taking the marketing burden off you.
